About Mayukh Tea

For us, tea has always been more than a business. It is where we come from.

Our founder, Rupesh Pradhan, grew up on Singtom Tea Estate in Darjeeling, in a family connected with tea for four generations. Growing up around the gardens, he learned to understand tea through its seasons, its leaves, its aroma and, most importantly, its taste.

In 2007, that lifelong connection became Mayukh Tea.

The idea was simple: to bring authentic Darjeeling tea closer to the people who appreciate it, while preserving the character of the garden and season it comes from.

Today, that same philosophy continues to guide everything we do.

The delicate floral character of a First Flush, the fuller muscatel notes of a Second Flush, and the mellow character of an Autumn Flush each tell a different story of the hills.

We believe those differences should be experienced, not hidden.

Mayukh works with selected tea gardens across Darjeeling, sourcing teas that represent the distinctive character of their estate, season and craftsmanship.

Every selection is carefully tasted, evaluated and chosen before it becomes part of the Mayukh collection.
